Get ready to meet the first two celebs shaking things up on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars. Season 30 of the ABC competition series is kicking things off with a bang, and is set to introduce gold medal Olympian Suni Lee and pop star JoJo Siwa as key players. With dazzling sparkles, backflips, and more up their sleeves, Siwa and Lee will be two tough competitors to beat.
We’ll be hearing about the rest of the cast on Sept. 8 on Good Morning America, which will welcome Lee and Siwa to the stage to face their competitors behind-the-dancing-scenes. The milestone season will premiere in just under a month on Sept. 20, in which each celebrity will find out who their pro-dancer partner is.
This season will once again be judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts, including Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough. Supermodel and businesswoman Tyra Banks is back to host the saga, but the ballroom will be filled with an all-new lineup of celebrities.
Lee is a three-time Olympic medalist. Most recently, she nabbed the gold medal for the all-around champion in women’s gymnastics at the 2020 Tokyo games. Lee is just 18 years old, about to embark on her first year in college at Auburn University — and her first reality TV competition along with it!
Siwa, on the other hand, is no stranger to reality TV. The actress has starred on a number of shows like The Masked Singer and Celebrity Family Feud, so she’s sure to hit the ground running on this new season of Dancing with the Stars. Currently, the star is set to be featured in The J Team, a new live-action musical premiering on Paramount+.
Dancing with the Stars returns to ABC on Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. ET, airing Monday nights at the same time through the fall. New episodes can be viewed the next day on demand and on Hulu.
